Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, was in high spirits at the gala night hosted in his honor during his recent visit to Rivers State.
Osinbajo had commenced a working visit to the Niger Delta region as part of Federal Government’s measure to interact with leaders of the oil rich region which is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the crisis in the area.
A night before his departure on Wednesday, an event was hosted in his honour during which popular comedian, Klint da Drunk performed.
The comedian gave Osinbajo his ‘hard earned’ N5000 and quickly reminded the Acting President that in the bible, it is said that when you give, you will receive back, pressed down, shaken together and running over.
Shortly after the comedian exited the stage, Osinbajo, in a ‘hilarious’ response said, “Everything has been going well until Klint da Drunk gave me an expensive N5000.
“I have kept it close to his excellency, the governor, in case he asks for it back because he can say that I was drunk when I gave you the money.
“I must remind him that the scripture that he referred to which suggest that if you give you will be given more, is when you give to God and not to an Ijebu man,” Osinbajo quipped.
